Chief Executive Officer
Daniel founded Welsbach Holdings Pte Ltd in January 2021 as a Tech Metals specialist advisory and investment company. Daniel was formerly head of the technology metals division of Noble Group and the Executive Director of Talaxis and left Noble Group in December 2020. From 1997 until 1999, Daniel developed his professional career at Deutsche Bank in London, where he ran the fixed income derivatives structuring desk for Iberia. In 1999, Daniel joined Goldman Sachs within the FICC division in London. In 2003, he was appointed head of the Corporate Markets and Treasury Solutions team at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, covering Asia-Pacific. After this, Daniel moved to Nomura Securities as Head of the Corporate Solutions and Financing Group for the Asia-Pacific region.
Daniel holds an MSc in International Securities and Banking from the ICMA Centre University of Reading and a BA in Business Management from ESIC-Valencia.
Chief Operating Officer
Chris joined Daniel Mamadou at Welsbach in March 2021. Chris sits on a number of boards in South East Asia, including Malacca Trust Pte Ltd, a holding company in Singapore which owns the top asset management company in Indonesia. He co-founded, built and sold Manoor Bulatn Lestari, an Indonesian resource company and achieved 30x MOIC in two years for himself and his investors. Prior to Welsbach, Chris was Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance in Merrill Lynch for South East Asia. Chris also worked at Deutsche Bank (1997-1998), Bankers Trust (1994-1997), and Crane Nuclear Valves (1991-1994). Prior to working in the finance industry, Chris was an intelligence officer for the United States Air Force from 1989-1991, serving at Clark Air Base in the Philippines with the 90th Tactical Fighter Squadron. Chris has an MBA with honors from University of Chicago and a bachelor of science in nuclear engineering from Northwestern University.
